Two Sugar Films projects have been shortlisted for major broadcasting awards.

Should I Marry My Cousin (BBC3) has been shortlisted in the documentary category of the Prix Europa, and is one of only two British entries to make the short-list of the continent’s foremost documentary award. The winner will be announced in mid October.

Gary Younge has been shortlisted as Best Documentary Presenter for the prestigious Grierson Awards, to be announced in early November, for his film ‘Angry, White and American’. the clip of Gary’s exchanges with far-right leader, Richard Spencer, went viral with over 14m views in the 72 hours prior to transmission.
